Summer Bucket List

With it being June, we are officially in summer. Area schools are out on break, the temps are heating up and we have that late evening sun. I already know this summer is going to be a busy one, but that doesn’t mean I can’t throw a few things on the 2019 Summer Bucket List .

  1. Eat All the Ice Cream!
A few local favorites include: The Custard Station, Ted Drewes, Ice’s Plain & Fancy and Clementines. We’ve most recently tried Serendipity, and have Jeni’s on the list, too.
  2. Explore New Parks
Having a two year old = needing some serious entertainment. There’s so many parks around us I haven’t been to yet.
  3. Get the Nursery Set Up
Whoa news! We’re expecting #2 at the end of the summer, and we haven’t started on the nursery.
  4. Lake Weekend
We’ll have to see how this one shakes out. We may be better getting to our local pool, but a weekend out of the city would be great!
  5. Summer BBQ with Friends
Because it isn’t summer without some BBQ.
  6. The Great Chocolate Chip Cookie Bakeoff
Okay, so this technically isn’t tied to summer, but it is something I’ve started. More details to come, but let’s just say I’ll be baking a lot of chocolate chip cookies in the coming months.
  7. Have a Picnic
The real deal — Blanket, basket, pie.
  8. Pick Produce at Eckert’s
I have been wanting to do this for *forever* and now that the little one is almost 2.5 yrs old, I feel like it would be a great time to go. Strawberries, blackberries, peaches!
  9. Finish a Book. Or two.
A book about potty training totally counts.
  10. S’Mores
We have a fire pit in our backyard, and I can’t think of a better way to use it.
