Taylor Swift 1989 Tour

My BFF Chelsea and I went to see Taylor Swift play her second show here in St. Louis back at the end of September. This was our fourth time seeing her, so we’ve been able to check off her major tours. We actually debated on whether we should go or not because tickets were much more expensive this time, but considering we got to go for free last time, we said why not!

Our seats were in the club section of Scottrade Center (section 114). So while we weren’t as close as we were last tour, we had comfier seats. The concert started out with Vance Joy, followed by HAIM. They both put on a good set. I was surprised by HAIM, actually. Those girls can rock out.

The concert was primarily her 1989 album with a few older hits thrown in the mix. I really like how she re-mastered a few songs, too. And of course, just like her past three stops here in STL, she brought out Nelly on stage for a cameo performance. Oh, and HAIM joined in too!

I still think her Speak Now tour is my standing favorite. The set design for 1989 was much simpler compared to her past sets. I loved the revolving catwalk and how every person in attendance got a light-up wristband for this tour. You can definitely tell she’s grown up. Oh, have I mentioned how great she sounded? Because she did!
