September Recap

Oh September…the month that perfectly blends Summer and Fall weather. One week the temps are in the 80’s and the following week the temps are in the 70’s. Then back up the 80’s. Then back down to the 70’s. It’s basically Mother Nature playing games with us and causing me to put my shorts away prematurely just to get a pair back out a week later.

Fall really is my favorite time of year, but these 25 Things All Basic White Girls Do During the Fall do not apply to me. Except for making cookies and sitting by a fire (while drinking wine of course). That’s about it.

Since I’ve been training for a half marathon, I have been logging my miles for Childhood Cancer. Definitely didn’t hit my goal, which makes me question if I’ve been training enough.

Oh, and I chopped 9 inches of hair off and was able to cross that off my 30 Before 30 list. It feels so good to have manageable hair again.

I attended the Balloon Glow in Forest Park for the first time! It’s been on my St. Louis bucket list for a while, and was really neat.

Tim and the majority of his friends turn the big 3-0 next year, so we booked a group trip to Mexico to celebrate. It can’t come soon enough!

Speaking of Tim, he and a few friends did the 5o mile bike ride for Pedal the Cause this past weekend. #ProudWife

And lastly, I was one of several million people who bought a new iPhone this month. I went with the 6 and not the Plus. It’s giant compared to my old 4S, but I’m sure I’ll be used to it in a week.

October marks the start of a crazy fall schedule. Bring it on!
