The last two months have been hectic…or at least it feels like it. I missed September’s recap, so I’m lumping the last two months together.
September
The month started off with a drive up to Nebraska for my cousin’s wedding that I was a bridesmaid in. She looked beautiful and the day was so much fun. Andy and Crystal each had eight attendants, so the bus was in full-on party mode.
While we were in Omaha, Tim and I stopped by the Joslyn Art Museum. I hadn’t been there since I was in elementary, and art museums can be a great way to spend an afternoon—especially rainy ones. The massive Chihuly piece in the atrium is by far my favorite piece. And while I’m not trying to be biased in any way, I still love the St. Louis Art Museum so much more.
I also did some baking…a chocolate bourbon berry cake, a peach galette and some carrot cake cupcakes with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.
September ended with the wedding of my BFF Chelsea. I was her Matron of Honor, which means I had to give a speech. Between the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner picnic, and the wedding, the whole weekend was a blast.
October
Other than our trip to New Zealand and Australia, we really haven’t done much this month.
We came home to the Cardinals going to the World Series, where they were sadly defeated by the Boston Red Sox.
We did have a few anniversaries happen this month—we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary while in Sydney, my blog turned 3, and we adopted Nellie 3 years ago. Time flies!
