Layered Brownie Dessert

Chocolate chips cookie dough + Oreos + fudge brownies = the ultimate layered brownie dessert.

I don’t know why I haven’t thought of making this dessert before, but whoever thought of it is a genius. Seriously. It could also cause you to overload on sugar, which is the exact reason why I took it into work after I made it. I would have eaten the entire thing if I left it at home. Did I mention this was also the easiest layered brownie dessert?

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line the bottom of 9×13 with wax paper. Lining the pan isn’t required but it makes the removal of the dessert much easier.

Step 2: Make your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and layer it on the bottom of the 9×13 pan.

Step 3: Put a layer of Oreo cookies on top of the cookie dough. I used double stuff Oreos.

Step 4: Make your favorite box brownie mix [exactly the way the box tells you to] and pour that on top of the other two layers. Be sure to spread out evenly. To add an extra boost of chocolate flavor and goodness, mix 1/4 cup of hot fudge topping in with the brownie mix. I left that part out [mainly because I forgot to buy some].

Step 5: Bake for 50 minutes to an hour. Mine took right at an hour to finish baking. Make sure to let it cool when you take it out of the oven. If you stick a tooth pick down in the layered dessert to check on how done it is, try and avoid putting it through an Oreo. The filling will make it appear not done.

You’ll come out with something like this! Now I know my food photography isn’t the best [my camera is getting to be a bit old], but you can still see the three layers. If you want to make it even more dessert-alicious, put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Enjoy!
