It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

Lights are up. Tree is up. Stockings are hung.
The weekend after Thanksgiving, Tim and I headed about an hour south of the city to a Christmas tree farm to cut down our first Christmas tree together. I had never been to a Christmas Tree farm [my family just picked one up from a local store], but Tim grew up going to Christmas tree farms. Needless to say, I was excited for a new experience. Turns out, Tim is quite the picky one when it comes to getting a Christmas tree. We walked around one of the fields for probably a good hour before we found “the one.”

He is such a lumberjack.

Three stockings you may ask? Well, we decided to combine the cat and the dog into one stocking. Tim’s brother, Matt, is making us personalized stockings for next year, but for now we have the generic red ones. Tim also got out his train set from his childhood, so now we have a vintage train around our tree.

Our house all lit up! The boys even went as far as changing out the light post bulb to a red bulb for the season. How clever.
