I saw that touring the old penitentiary was one of the tops things to do in Boise, so we decided to check it out. The admission is only $5/person and you can chose to do a self-guided tour or one with a guide. We opted for the guide. Everything was left in it’s original state from 40 years ago, so you see the cots that were once slept in. It’s a very creepy place, but really neat to see. I’d recommend it to anyone in the area.
